The Wedding.

So I missed Suzy & Ryan's big day. I was supposed to be there, helping with everything, and instead, I gave a camera to an 11-year old and instructed him to "show me the wedding."

And though he had no "traditional" wedding photos, I think he did a pretty great job. He told me he wanted me to see all the details.

Jacob did a fabulous job documenting the food. You can tell where this kid's heart is:

Last year I blogged about the pictures I found on my camera that Jacob had taken. I know I'm his mom and I'm totally biased, but I really think Jake has a talent here. He's certainly better than I am. Here are a few he took at the wedding:

One last thing. A HUGE thank-you goes out to Steve & Bets for wrangling the McRae kids for the entire weekend. Literally, I dropped them off on Friday night when I was so sick, and did not see them again until late Sunday night. I don't know what I would have done without you guys. I love you!

Congrats Suz & Ryan!

Yesterday was the big day! And I missed it! If I didn't feel so horrible, I'd be putting a lot more effort into being angry about the whole situation. I hear the wedding was beautiful. Jacob took tons of pics, so I'll post some whenever I am allowed to be near my children again.

Until then, here's the happy couple:

And here's my pneumonia:

Need a DJ? I've got one for you.

If you or someone you know is throwing a party, you've got to call Tom Gleason over at Party Wagon Audio. Yes, Tom is my cousin by marriage. Yes, we hang out with his family on an extremely regular basis. Yes, that hanging out usually includes watching episodes of 30 Rock, The Office and Flight of the Conchords. Yes, I'm totally biased. But the most important thing is that he is awesome! So, whether you're planning a neighborhood block party or an extravagant wedding, Tom's your man!

Fun with light.

The other evening during dinner, the kids and I started talking about the color of our eyes. The sun was beaming in the window so I decided to take pictures of them so they could see their true eye color. The pictures turned out really cool.
