Puppy Love
Suz & Ryan bought a puppy. A VERY CUTE puppy. Little Nala is adorable, but no, it does not make me want a puppy. Quite the contrary in fact. The kids on the other hand, feel that it is absolutely NOT fair that Allie gets a puppy and she's only 4 years old. Jake after all has been waiting for over 11 years.
This is how Rosie feels about all the attention the new puppy is getting:

Dance Camp!
Emma was at dance camp last week. It's run by the Provo High School cheerleaders and Emma had a blast. Every day they had mini-classes on different dance styles: hip-hop, broadway, jazz, cheer, tumbling, stunts, etc. They had a performance on Friday showing us what they learned, then we headed on over to Pizzeria 712 for a yummy lunch.

Quite the party, yes it was.
For Suzy's 30th birthday, she and Ryan went out for the evening and the kids, along with Grandma & I, created quite the birthday cake. Take a look.
We may owe her another, more traditional cake. Love you Suz!
Sometimes the universe is listening.
I always have a running list of things I need to pick up at the store. Back when I had pneumonia, I used our thermometer so much that it died. Hence, "thermometer" has been on my list of things to pick up for the last month. Of course, last night Emma felt really sick and I did not have the ability to take her temperature, so once again, I added it to my list.
And then, as if the universe heard me, this arrived in the mail today:
As if I already didn't love you enough, Target. You are now my BFF.

Children's Art Festival & Provo Farmer's Market
Saturday it was just me and the girls all morning, so we headed off to the Children's Art Festival & Farmer's Market at Pioneer Park. It was the perfect day - cool & sunny.
We got a great parking spot, not a half block from the park.
First stop was this booth where the girls made their own books with a special type of Japanese binding technique.
Looking good.

Next stop was the "Make-Your-Own-Crown" booth. They turned out great.
What a great day. Up next...Suzy's birthday festivities!
