12 years ago today, Jacob played the best April Fool's Day joke ever on our family. After 3 days of a crazy labor, he finally entered the world by c-section, and he was a BOY! Our doctor had assured us that we were having a little girl. And for about 4 months, we prepared diligently for our sweet Zoe.
When I awoke from surgery I was quickly informed that our little Zoe was actually our sweet little man Jacob. This explains why we had to bring him home from the hospital in this little red rose-covered outfit:

Yeah!!!!! I was totally excited and anticipating this post b/c I have the fondest memories of that era where you guys lived at Springwood Apts. and Suzy and I lived close by and then Jacob was born!!! Man...it really is one of my most favorite times of my life ever. How cute were Jake & Emma (still are)??? I still have that pic of them in stuck in my scriptures of the two of them lying in Emma's crib when she's a baby and Jake must be 2 yrs. old and their heads are the same size. :)
That 2nd pic of Jake & Emma was taken at the Cox's house in Santa Cruz. Was that for the 4th of July? I literally have a million pictures that I could post that are so fun.
Another funny thing is I totally have vivid memories of certain outfits that Jake wore. So when I see pics I think "awww...it's the cloud sleep sac thingy..."
I could look at these pics all day long. :)
